Fall News 2017

What a summer we had this year!

There was a lot of fishing, swimming, boating and beaching going on and a lot of fun too!

As you may know we experienced Hurricane Irma, a category 5 storm that

by the time it got to us, was a category 2 storm. Enough to make us all uncomfortable,

and we are very grateful to have basically been spared any major damage.

Fall is a great time in Englewood as it is quiet and beautiful and we are very glad for a bit of cool weather.

November is the perfect month to enjoy nature and our waterways.

There is a lot going on in our community as always and

we are looking forward to some excitement!! Because…….

Englewood Beach Waterfest Returns!

We are very excited!!

The Englewood Beach Waterfest returns this November 2017.  Once again, Waterfest is bringing some big names and even bigger fun to the small beach town located on the west coast of Florida, just south of Sarasota. With multiple weekends filled with events for the entire family, you will surely enjoy taking part in at least one of them!

Paddlefest will be held on November 11 at Weston’s wannaB inn, at the tip of South Manasota Key.

The block party will be held on November 17th on Dearborn Street.

Waterfest wraps up the excitement with Racefest, where internationally known powerboats from around the world will race offshore to see who will be named the World Champion of OPA/APBA Offshore Powerboat

This all happens on November 18th & 19th, 2017.  You won’t want to miss the opportunity to see the powerboats up close and personal at the dry pits on Englewood Beach, beginning November 18th.

We invite you to get involved and support this Englewood Community driven event series!

Get your tickets in advance from various locations around Englewood.

Winding things down for the fall, of course, is Thanksgiving on November 23rd

We have so much to be thankful for.

Come spend time with your family and friends in Englewood if you can

our best to you and God bless you all
